New Jersey State Comptroller : ウィキペディア英語版 | New Jersey State Comptroller The New Jersey State Comptroller is an office of the Government of New Jersey recreated by an act of the state legislature in 2007.〔(N.J.S.A. 52:15C-1 ) et seq.〕 The Comptroller is appointed by the Governor of New Jersey, with the advice and consent of the New Jersey Senate, to a renewable six-year term. Prior to the 2007 recreation, the office was filled by direct election. ==Responsibilities of the State Comptroller== The State Comptroller audits government finances, examining government contracts, reviews the efficiency and performance of various state government programs, and provides audit training to government entities. The State Comptroller has the authority to conduct audits of the executive branch of state government, public institutions of higher education, independent state authorities, local governments, and boards of education. The State Comptroller also has the authority to investigate and uncover misconduct, waste and abuse at all levels of New Jersey Government and within New Jersey's Medicaid program.
